The Tenth Day

I...got lazy to update ;u;
I'm sorry...

Well, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Everyone~
Now that's gone let's see...

A lot of stuff happened which I can't even share to everyone in this blog since I don't know where to start, a lot of things happened so fast it's like a hurricane. I had fun time during the Xmas holidays, it was lively <3

I've been inspired a lot by Siren: Blood Curse (Or New Translation) that it even caused me nightmares even, it wasn't...so good. I wanted to make a horror sci-fi entry to Nackster's GW contest but the lack of time killed it, I knew I should've join in earlier but whatever I guess, it'll have to wait, must finish Sacred Moon...

A friend of mine offered me to work for his Touhou Beach Volleyball, of course I agreed. I wanted to see Touhou characters in swimsuits...and...danmaku volleyball sounds awesome. I managed to finished 5 portraits so far (two colored). I've been playing around sprites as well...

Come to think of it, Maikaze's Touhou fananime project is out and I heard it's actually bearable, I want to watch it just to see how it is.

My net sucks today, I can't even post screenshots properly here, dammit. Aussie net is so lol.
I think I'll end it here, I'll try to update regularly like I used to. Signing off...

The Nineth Day

Today was surprisingly fun...
I did NOT just say that...oh...man...

We arrived at some mountains, nice place to do a camping and stuff, although I refuse to do that since there's some animals and who knows maybe something will happen that we will regret ever camping, geh.

It's a simple event, I guess I just enjoyed it because of the fresh air and stuff and that I haven't gone out for a long...time...

Because of this, I wasn't able to do anything game related, geh. Tomorrow will be the same because of Cherry picking thingy, better get some jacket, although weather forecast is telling me that tomorrow will be rainy and 18 degrees Celsius, whether or not we're going to go, I couldn't care less right now.

I've been thinking about Siren: Blood Curse, and I must admit, I love the gameplay aspect of this game, it's so unique specially with sightjacking and a lot of things that are spoilerific. It's like watching a movie, except, you're part of it. I'd like to make a game like it someday, where your attacks are pretty useless against these demons and you have to be unnoticed to escape, it's so scary...

The Eight Day

Gah, what a day...
I did spriting most of the day, to be honest I can't remember much on what I did today...scary...

I learned a lot about dialogues today, I really have to thank Ciel and Strangeluv for the great advices, they helped me a lot! And thank you Skie for the Ein sprite motivation, hopefully we'll get a Cyrus soon, or at least, Sacred Moon related, fufufu...

I want to finish my game script ASAP, but I have been forced to go to family event plans in the weekends (tomorrow and Sunday). Bah, I guess I have no choice. Also, I need to go to the Church again, we missed like 3 sundays consecutively...

Seventh Day


I...forgot to make my own pixel day per day today ;-;
I'm going to borrow Zuleika by my hubby for the mean time....ahahaha....

Today I worked on hilarious test events and stuff. But today, something worried me, I'm afraid of unnatural dialogue, so what happened was me and Ciel had an interesting conversation about dialogue, here's some notes that I've taken.

Verisimilitude - it means it should sound real, like real people are saying the lines and not like someone is writing them. But in special instances you can get away with being a little more poetic. If it's a special scene it can make the dialogue better even if it's only 90% believable instead of 100%

And you should always try to minimize exposition as much as possible, like if you have to explain a lot of stuff to the audience through two characters talking, try to disguise the conversation as something else as much as you can, like it is a regular conversation, but the information the audience needs to know is in there somewhere.

A great example will be FF8, it has a good example of people speaking naturally in a game in a modern context.

That's what's given to me, I hope I can get more response from other people so I will know what to improve on!

The Sixth Day

I have been wondering sometime now, my Touhou addiction seems never ending nowadays, seeing the game has so much potential but not being drawn in enough makes me weep a lot times, just like that Touhou Enjoy April Fool's Day, uuu....

It's just sad for me, ah well...

I haven't been able to work too much on Sacred Moon because of school stuff. But thank God that's fixed. Thank you Emirpoen as well for the help with munney...

Game scripts can be a pain specially the dialogue, guh, I hate this weakness. I wanted to try something out in rm2k3 as well, I think I'll try making a funny CBS and CMS just for kicks to see if I got rusty or something...

I didn't play anything today and instead drew some stuff which makes me sad :(

The Fifth Day

I almost forgot to update this blog. Haha. Today is another day, I managed to talk to summarized Sacred Moon's story in one sentence finally haha. I've been busy working on graphics again and I talked to Aten and Dajhail about the story and it seems that they're convinced it'll be a nice game if I execute it correctly...

I'm running out of Chibi Avatars to use for this blog, must sprite moar. Today I saw Teacher Reggie but I am tired and Cave Story messed up my biological clock so I always feel sleepy and tired, booo!

I finished another sprite today, I'm so happy! I decided to finish the game script first though so I would know what stages to make and all...

Come to think of it, there's this one person that I really like, his name is thernz and I find his stuff incredibly random and funny and fun! He has great graphical and dialogue skills as well. My envy burns like a thousand suns!

If by anything, I really like Dawn of Cats, I don't know why, I just do!

The Fourth Day

I forgot to update this blog yesterday due to my addiction to Cave Story (Doukutsu Monogatari). I finished it 5x now, and it's extremely fun and addicting that it's a sin. I know it's weird I was able to finish it that many times but I already got so used to it. I tried speed running but the best I could do was like 6"48 urgh...

I'm planning to get the bad ending where I leave the Island. I'll see what I can do. On the bright side, I made a lot of progress for Sacred Moon such as complete story sypnosis and order of events, character roles that are now irreplacable and a much more clearer storyline after Ciel told me the CONS of the previous game script.

And there's an update about sprites, Dudesoft and k0le told me they'd like to help me and that's a great thing! I hope I can cope up with the graphics specially that there's only 2 of us working on sprites and I have to do a lot of graphics...sigh...

On the other hand, I got too addicted with Knights in the Nightmare artwork, Kiyuduki did a nice job working on them <3

I'm downloading La Mulana as the next target...

Third Day


Today was an alright day I guess, we had fun at the Christmas party although I got a stomach ache because of the sweets I guess, that thing with condensed milk was so sweet D:

It was a christmas party, it was pretty nice, I managed to eat my favorite pinoy delicacies such as Kare Kare and Leche Flann. I managed to play with some kids at Nintendo Wii, I guess they didn't like the fact I always beat them haha.

I replayed SEB 2 days ago I think, since Haus and Ocean got Veili as a powerhouse (who I believe is useless) I decided to try out the "Ultimate Gunnar" and that he can basically beat Veili in every possible way stat wise and battle wise. Apparently, I was right, Ohohohohohoh!

And since I'm a masochist I always play Unknown Mode, and I got far, I really did, fufufufu...

I killed all the bosses in split seconds with Steel! and Soul Raiment. It was fun, a very fun power abuse and seeing Veili wipe the floor everytime. Yesterday I got lazy, but I finished it today. It was very, very, verrryyy interesting. I killed the final boss in split seconds unlike when I had the whole party balanced out. It was very fun.

I had Fast Increase all the time as I solve puzzles, even though it broke my concentration a few times, it was worth it haha.


New record, found out the game is abusable etc.
A really fun challenge indeed.

The Second Day


Today is another day. I don't think I did something really exciting than opening a locked project with interesting battle system or just managed to get myself motivated as I tried to do powerhouse Gunnar just to see if I can survive the whole game named "Sacred Earth Bonds" with just him and not even bothering with Veili.

So far it's possible haha. I wish I can finish these spriting problems soon and keep motivated. Vacation is running out so fast, I don't want to go to school yet, uuu....

Today I didn't see Teacher Reggie since he's away :(
There goes C# lesson, I guess I have to learn the basics anyway, it's going good and I feel motivated and high just thinking about learning.

Today I managed to finish J.D for Sacred Moon, but I won't update the blog since it's pretty minor and useless, I guess I'll update it by bursts so that it won't be cluttered :3

I guess for today I'll set out The Sacred Tears: True by Alpha Nuts. I really loved this game for it's battle system since it's so fun! I think it should be translated to English! Too bad it's a commercial game and I don't know if it's going to be buyable. I only found out a demo.





























Alpha Nuts...sure love blue-haired heroes. Hey, at least the artwork is good haha. Also the characters are brimming with personality in the battle, I swear! Depending on how you killed the enemy as well. It's worth the hacking~ Ohohoho.

I guess that's for now...

A Day


Well today is such a lovely day of boredom.
I really need a clone for 10x faster work. Too bad that's not going to happen...

After a few discussions, we had fun ideas with the Cloudreach group. It's too bad that we don't have any permanent peace. But it's alright, lately, RM English community is getting too boring. I hope that new games will be released soon to keep us motivated.

But the good thing is that I have a teacher! His name is Reggie, from Gaming World, he taught me the basic input and it's very awesome! Tomorrow we'll learn loops!

I learned a lot of stuff today! It's really awesome!

K-hos apparently is a great inspiration as well doing his game in Lite C# I was very surprised I can't believe it!
